My Story

My interest in coding started with my obsession with video games from a young age. My interest grew after taking a course in computer science in highschool. However I did not pursue my passion and went down a route my parents wanted for me. I enrolled into college as a biochemistry major looking to be a doctor. I quickly realized that becoming a doctor was not the path for me. Looking for alternatives within the biochemistry field, I was uninterested about what I was learning about. For a while, I was just going with the flow to see where I would end up.

The course of my life changed when I decided to join App Academy's 24-week course to pursue what I was always interested in. Throughout the course, I learned JavaScript, Python, and various technologies in order to succeed as a software engineer. More importantly, I learned that coding was truly something I am passionate about and always excited to learn more about.

Outside of the coding environment, I am a social person that enjoys meeting new people and going out with friends! I also enjoy playing video games (mainly TFT and valo right now), learning how to play my favorite tunes on the guitar, and learning more about cars!
